Travel Tips
The water is very warm in the summer months.
In the other seasons, us queenslanders are often in the water. Its great to live here in the north of brissy.
The only thing is if its a cool day you can get cold from the wind after you get out. Although most days in winter are still warm.
There are some people that wear wetsuits only if they intend to stay in the water for awhile. My boys do while surfing but its just normal thickness.
Cheers and have beers :)
Oh and in the top end around cairns its very warm in the water.
Just watch for stingers and box jelly fish, and maybe a croc or 2......... Yes I'm for real.

no the water is beautiful & hardly ever cold & the further you go north the warmer it is.I live on the sunshine coast QLD & we go to the beach during winter & the kids love it as long as its not windy
