Migration labyrinth? |
Travel Info I'm an accounting grad and I'm in love with an Aussie. We are planning to get married but I'm determined to steer clear of the Older White Man-Young Asian Gold Digger stereotype and refuse to settle for a partner migration visa. However I'm progressing well as a creative writer and have no experience in number crunching (which is on the Skilled Occupation List). I don't know what to do as my partner can't work if he comes over either (unless we're married). Should I just give in and get hitched? It's that or be separated for another few years and I just miss him too much. Please help!! Travel Tips Don't worry about what people think, it does not matter. Others marry him, don't let beaureacracy or anyone's opinion waste any more of your time than necessary or keep you apart. best of luck! that is soo coollll...so you from another place and world..tell me more...math probem? You don't have to actually marry him. You can apply for a partner visa as a defacto if you have sufficient evidence of a long-term relationship - photos, letters and so on. Good luck. B Do you have professional qualifications as an Accountant, e.g. CPA, Chartered Accountant? If you do then you may be able to get a temporary resident, employer sponsored visa to work as an accountant in Australia. If you really want to avoid the partner visa you need to start working as an accountant but you will still need a couple of years work experience to qualify for an independent skilled visa. Your other options are a student visa or a working holiday visa (depending on your age and nationality). http://www.visalogic.net |
