Travel Info I'm moving to queensland and Brisbane inpartictular tell about queenslands climate, tell me everything? Travel Tips Waaay too hot, which is why it is inhabited by dumb rednecks. Move south of the border and you stand a chance of living among decent human beings. Others awesome! dump the winter gear cause you wont need it again. winter is in the 20's and summer is in the late 30's to mid 40's (celcius)......Brissy has everything! Its the true Australia and the gate way to the sunshine coast. Its also in a prime position for day trips to the gold coast and out to stradbroke island and morton bay island or head out a bit west into the Glass House Mountains. Queenslanders are the true friendly aussies that stand for no bull sh it and provide a stunning state with huge open roads. They are having a medical crisis at the moment, but im sure that will sought itself out. Wages are lower in QLD than most other states, but the cost of living in QLD is also cheaper. http://weather.cloader.net/cgi-dir/showg... It's bloody hot in winter, and bloody hot and muggy in summer! If you like wearing shorts and t-shirts, airconditioning and lots of liquid refreshment :P you'll love the Queensland! Great thats why all the victorians & new south wales people retire here dont worry about what halfa brain said While Brisbane enjoy temperate climate, the winter nights and morning can be pretty chilly (It is quite common for the temperature to go down below 50 Farenheit at night, and in the morning). But normally, you will get 70s for few hours during day time, and then the temperature drops after sunsets (it is very common to have anywhere from 45 to 70 degree in a day). Winter is short, June - July. You can notice the onset of summer as soon as August. Summer is hot. 70 to high 90s (ocassionally up to 110), and it starts as early as October until March. Northern queensland is tropical, so, expect 70 to 90s all year round. The inland gets huge temperature swing, especially in the south-west region. Ipswich is famous for huge temperature swing (it is common to have 30s to 70s in a day in Ipswich during winter). Overall, Brisbane has the nicest weather. Drop bear repellant (need this the most ou in the bush) Dark sunglasses (Preferably prescription, very sunny here) Linguistics book (So you can understand us talking) Lots of $1 Australian bills for public transport. (We don't like breaking big notes) Any more questions I'd be happy to answer them...... |
