How do I get to Australian Zoo by train from The Gap in Sat morning? Timetable of the train? |
Travel Info appreciate if answers can be received soon! Travel Tips I presume you were planning to go this morning? Hmmm. Maybe my advice won't help now!! Anyways. First off have a look at the Australia Zoo website where it shows the travel options. I think this covers most of the main options. (Source 1) Now your main options: Train and bus from Roma Street Station/Central Station. Getting there from the Gap is tricky as you would need to catch a bus and perhaps walk a few hundred metres. Look at my first reference for a great site to work out the exact public transport instructions: (Note your journey would be bus-train-bus. Could take a 3+ hours each way). (See Link 2) Rental car (Choose your favourite hire company - there are many to choose from). Coach - This one will be tricky as well. You'd probably need to get into the City first and meet the coach. Some coach services are listed on the link 2 page. (Note that to get from the Gap to City is fairly easy. It wont cost much more and you could then also visit the Glass house mountains and other sites around thearea. It is a really beautiful region. Hi I have tried to look up the Queensland Rail site for you. Seems a little confusing. You can catch a train from the city up to Australia Zoo from Central or Roma Street. I'm not sure about trains from the Gap. Live in Brisbane Queensland Rail website You are talking about Steve Irwin's Zoo or the one in Sydney? Either way car is best. |
