Where are the best beaches and dining down under? |
Travel Info Brisbane, Sydney, ??? Travel Tips Aloha from Down Unda! Absolutely, the Gold Coast, 'Surfers Paradise' on the outskirts from Brisbane ( about 90 [?I gotta check!] minutes away ! Check sites noted below) Nearly all international flights stop at Sydney but if you can, fly directly into Brisbane! Of course, you'll miss the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Opera House & the droll, dull & dim 'Big Smoke' of NewSouthWales but, you'll be much closer to the wide open beaches of Queensland's very sweet GoldCoast. Most Australian's use Queensland as their vacation destination because of the variety of theme parks & splendid weather & natural beautiful terrain of the Surfer's Paradise smack in the middle of the 'GoldCoast'! I live about 300 miles away, midway between Sydney & Surfer's but, my beaches are much more ragged & rustic, more rocky & more interesting to me with water features of the surf hitting rocks & displaying much more varied views. Ummm, how do I put this...oh kay, 'Food is available'! [duhh! Where on planet Earth have you been, to question availability of dining, Ethiopia, maybe?] Australia may be remote & even backward in some progressive ways of thinking, but there's no shortage of competetive restaurants.
