Travel Info What is Australian electricity voltage (Queensland)? Travel Tips We got the power up and running in NSW just in time for the 2000 Olympics. It's been great with all the new fangled electrical stuff like kettles and toasters. I hear some people even have electrical hot water. What next. I think it's 240v but with the small power station supplying a city like Sydney with a population of 25 to 30 thousand it's a bit unreliable sometimes. It's almost made our steam trains redundant.
