Moving to mackay - need advice?

well have a look at that.. its a webcam mounted in one of the main streets of mackay.. i live there its a pretty good place.. its getting big.. well compared to the hick town it used to b lol

The town and surrounding area is a smorgasbord of beauty and ugly, fresh air and interesting smells, architectural delights and disasters. Roads in and out leave much to be desired, but they all lead to interesting places - think Airlie Beach and Shute Harbour or into the outback. Mackay is what you make. It's all there if you look for it. Mostly laid back with excellent climate.
I use to live 4 hrs from Mackay and my best friend lives there now. I will be there on Monday. Yippie..

It has ur typlical shops, pubs, Sunday markets, beaches, etc. Everything u need is there. Alot of people are there for their jobs cause it is a mining town.

Its really close to Airlie Beach too. Its a really laid back town. Very different to larger cities like Brissy.
