Depends whether you would prefer beach location or rainforest. Surfers Paradis is very crowded but other beaches good. Try Mt Tamborine for a rainforest setting.

There is a beautiful resort at palm beach.. Me and my fiance are going to do exactly the same thing. Staying at Regency on the beach. They have some good packages. starting cheap and getting more expensive if you want more.
