Okay... I think I will go to Brisbane, Australia, next summer...? |
Travel Info I looked online and brisbane atractted me more, os I wanto go there.. my question is if is possible to rent a house or an aparment for a month during august to september , so far my seach hasn't been that suscesfull, so I haven't found anything cheap. I'm looking for about $500 to $700 a month, 1 or 2 bedroom 1 bath and furnished . I'm willing to go up to 1000 if anything. . . Anyone for the area that can give me any websites or info I could look into?.... Thanks Travel Tips Don't rent an apartment! Rent a small camper van instead. Between Brisbane and Sidney there is so much to see that a month is hardly enough. Number one -- the beaches are free with free overnite parking, hot showers and free bar-b-ques. It's safe, clean and free from troublesome idiots, especially in your own camper. The cops are friendly and the food is cheap. Source(s): In 1995-96 I drove 6000 miles across the outback from Darwin to Sidney and it was the best trip in my entire life and I traveled the world in campers. Other Travel Tips Firstly - I am from Sydney and you are sadly misguided if you think Brisbane is the best Australia has to offer. Having said that if you look up websites for some of the bigger realestate companies (Raine and Horne, Ray White, Century 21) you will find what you seek. Also the site realestate.com.au and look up short term rental properties in the Brisvegas area. Do yourself a favour though - visit Sydney while your here - you will love it. They rent by the week in Australia. Take however much you are gonna spend, divide it by four (from month to week), then figure the exchange rate which stays between .70 to .80 cents to the oz dollar. Brisbane is cool...check out www.gumtree.com.au to find a flat. It is like the British, NZ and Oz craigslist. If worse comes to worse, stay in a hostel. PS Don't listen to the first guy, Sydney can't hold a candle to Brisbane unless you are looking for drugs and hookers. The best city I found was by far Melbourne. Bittch I was there for six months last year! I've travelled and lived in many places, including Australia. The best online sites for residential rentals are www.realestate.com.au www.domain.com.au If you want to live within the city limits be prepared to spend at least A$1500 for a comfortable, decent and well furnished apartment. Otherwise, you can get cheaper, furnished apartments further away from the city, around Brisbane suburbs A 1-2 bedroom unit in Brisbane often costs 200-300 AUD per week. I think the time you have selected for your travel is a busy time as many students are there and it is hard to find short term rentals. I recommend you to stay in a studio unit with the same price. Then you can visit other cities like Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast without paying unnecessary money. If you are serious, I can help you more. |
