Travel Info i just want to no wat it is like there and wat the people r like ect cus my mum n dad r thinkin of emmigrating Travel Tips I live in Brisbane, I emigrated here from Ireland nearly 5 years ago, Brisbane is a great place to live, beautiful weather and city and the people are fine. Houses are getting expensive around the city but not compared with the other big cities. I would recommend it as a place to move to Others I live in Brisbane too, its a great smallish city. Very hot in summer, not too cold in winter. Close to the gold coast and sunshine coast. Its pretty laid back and friendly. All of the good bands come here when they tour Australia. Its a very safe city, we dont have that much violence. The thing I really love about brisbane is the parks, everywhere I've lived I have always been close to a good big park to take my dog too or go jogging in. ive been there many times to visit friends and i would have to say its not one of my favourite places just a bit dull for my liking,a big city that seems 10yrs behind say melb or sydney ,if i was to live up in Q.L.D id be looking to live on the coast. this is just my opinion im sure others love it. I would have to disagree with Forky. If you want to find employment and good wages then move to Brisbane. Living on the coast can be just as expensive but the majority of the wages are higher in Brisbane. To get from the Gold Coast to Brisbane takes a good hour of travelling (more in a train). I moved up here from Melbourne over three years ago. It is a smaller city and very laid back but with over a thousand people moving up each week it is becoming more and more popular. Real estate is getting more expensvie, but no-where near as high as Melbourne/Sydney and now even Perth... Australia is a fantastic country to live in. Brisbane is hot and luxurious, Nice people, good beaches, what more do you want. http://www.huontravel.com.au I've lived in Brizzy all my life! I love it and most ppl r gr8! the coast is only about an hours drive away sumtimes half an hour if u go when there is less traffic and the weather is amazing although sum ppl may find how hot it is very annoying n not to there liking. its small but i still love it! besides, Australia as a country is awseome n the best country in the world so yea! I definitely recommend moving 2 Brisvegas! |
