Can any tell me some locations in and around Brisbane that lend themselves to model photoshoots? |
Travel Info Any locations would be a great help as I'm fairly new to Brissie and fairly new to photography. I'm looking for places for either fashion, swimwear and artistic nude shoots. I'm particularly keen on areas where the model is just part of an overall picture rather than the dominant focus (think "nude in landscape" etc). Travel Tips For some reason, the Ralston Monument (on Twelfth Avenue) in Toowong Cemetery, is one of the most photographed back drops for models and nudes. Also I'd suggest Boggo Road Gaol, but the Government has it closed at the moment to do rennovations on the site. But there are loads of old derelict style buildings around, it's just a matter of finding them. Others lot of parkland/bushland around & on mt-cootha go during the week & there is not many people around then so a bit more private then Mt Coot-tha is a beautiful place. But check with the local authorities (parks and wildlife) for permissions. Southbank is also good, if you're wanting the more urban background (can get a bit busy with the bridges in the background though). Depends what you're after.
