Both places are very very different. If you are not used to lonely places, I wouldn't recommend Tierra del Fuego for living, its different if you go on vacations. There are places with lots of forest, but also places where you only see small vegetation miles around, the wind blows constantly, the days are usually cloudy and there is a feeling of immensity and loneliness at the same time, people get the feeling that they are in the end of the world. There are many books describing this sensation, it is real special. It is a great place indeed, I've been there several times, mostly in the Chilean side which has more vegetation. Good luck. |
