Travel Info Have you been once in Los Cabos? Travel Tips I've been 6 or 7 times. It is my favorite Mexican destination - desert, mountains, Sea of Cortez on one side, Pacific Ocean on the other side. It also home to some of the most beautiful golf courses in the world albeit they are very expensive. If you are relatively young (or still semi-wild) the nightlife is loads of fun. One caveat, the beaches/water there are not as fantastic as say Cancun on the Yucatan Peninsula side of Mexico but they are still very nice. All in all Cabo is great fun but probably just a bit more expensive than some of the other Mexican resorts - mainly because a lot of the tourists there are from Southern California where money seems to be printed daily. Others ive never been, i turned down a free week there, wish I hadnt. I have a friend going there on a cruise ship, she's really excited. Id go if I were you. Yes I have been there as noted in previous question. It is true that everything is expensive there. We plan on renting a condo and cooking most of our meals for the seven of us. I also want to go to Santiago a small town about 70 miles north of cabo that has a spectacular waterfall call La cola de la zorra. I think we're gonna have to rent a jeep to get to the waterfall, I'm not sure. We wil be returning this Dec 15th to Dec 20th. They have also opened a Costco in Cabo as well as two new huge Mexican grocery stores. Definitely see Bahia Santa Maria. We rented mopeds in town and drove on the highway to get there, but I would not recommend it unless you are as totally crazy as we are! I wanted to stay at a little hotel called los patios, but my family wanted something a little fancier. I suggest you go to tripadvisor.com. They have some great small hotels that are rated fantastic with super low prices. |
