What is the best hotel in Cabo, that is close to all the night life and is nice to stay at?

Going to Cabo in August. Not sure where to stay at. I want to be close to the restrurants. I heard it is expensive to eat at the hotel. So what hotel is close to all the restrurants, but is at least a cat. 4 hotel?

Travel Tips
Playa Grande or the Solmar are both excellant choices, Close to the marina and all of the action. They both are on the Pacific side, nice and quiet beach, no vendors to bother you. I'm also going again,in August, the last week. I'll be at the Solmar.

Others
I've stayed at Marina Fiesta (3 1/2star) and Playa Grande (5 star).
Marina Fiesta is Right ON the marina and attracts a bit of a party crowd, whereas Playa Grande is a 5-10 minute walk to the marina and swimmable beach.
