If you are anywhere near a large city they have Walmart's, Costco's and other modern Mexican grocery stores. Even if you are flying, you will get a bit of water and some small snack. Be sure you have a travel permit if you are going beyond 25 miles of the American border. Check with the Mexican embassy.
