US/Mexican border? |
Travel Info Anybody familiar with the border crossing just south of San Diego?I was wondering how long of a wait I should anticipate, both going into, and coming back from mexico. I am an American citizen. Travel Tips if you want to cross back into the US faster, you are probably going to want to cross at the Garita de Otay that will take you to the 905 freeway.. you will follow that until you get to the 805 or the 5 freeway depending on where you want to go.. Depending on the time of day if you cross at the border crossing that goes directly into 5 you could be waiting 1 to 2 1/2 hrs. At the Garita de Otay you probably will wait 45 min or 1 hr at the most. Source(s): personal experience Other Travel Tips if you are crossing into mexico no more than 30 mins. or quicker..coming back it depends on the time you are crossing over anywhere from 2:30-7:pm expect an hour or longer..it just all depends... |
