Travel Tips You will have to try them all, it is very hard to say "this is the best". Upscale: Mi Cocina, Damianas, La Panga Antigua, Tequilas, Morgans, Local Eight, El Chilar, Don Emilianos. Cheap and good: Jazmin's, Tulip Tree, Carnitas El Michoacano, Super Pollo, The Hangman, Las Guacamayas, Tacos Rosy. Oh Boy, How many days are you going to be here? Oh my, where do I start? San Jose has many really great restaurants that have stood the test of time. One of the best places is the "hangman"....for authentic. Jasmins is consistently good. We also enjoy Dante's on the beach for ribs, Zippers for burgers, the tulip tree and morgans are both up scale eateries...bring your wallet. We used to eat out at el picazon but they left and moved to Loreto..sniff sniff. Ask around once you get there.
