Buses from Cabo San Lucas to La Paz, Mexico? |
Travel Info I am flying into Cabo San Lucas but staying in La Paz. I've seen private bus company transfers from the airport to La Paz for well over $100, I was wondering if anyone knew if you can take a Mexican transit bus from the airport to La Paz or is it worth going into Cabo to take a Mexican transit bus? Also can anyone give me some insight into where the bus terminal is in Cabo? Do you know what the prices are like doing it this way? I am sure it must be alot cheaper than taking a private bus from the airport. Right now I know that I can rent a car from the airport for $10 USD a day...I'll be there for one week and the total cost would be less than $100 with unlimited milage. I am thinking about doing this so I might be able to explore the area better. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance Travel Tips I'm agree, rent a car is the best way, but add the insurances to the price you get, it will double for sure. If you still want to go on a bus, take shuttle bus from the airport to down town San Jose. You have two options from here, the regular bus, or the first class, the second it's nicer, with air conditioner and TV for $232 pesos or $23 USD, they run from 6:30 hrs till 19:30 hrs, almost every hour, and will drop you down town La Paz, close to the hotels. Good luck Others The bus station is located on 16 de septiembre and Zaragoza streets. Below is a map of this town. The 100 dollars is too expensive. The best way is renting a car. San Jose del cabo is a better place to stay, and the roads are easy to travel, and the area is really safe. Hope you enjoy the visit. http://mapserver.inegi.gob.mx/geografia/... I would recommend you to rent a car... there are many beaches in La Paz and Los Cabos that you will like to see and the only way to get there is having a car. There are some tours but it is really expensive. You have to go to Balandra ( beautiful beach in La Paz), Espiritu Santo ( its an island in front of Tecolote麓s beach) If you still want to take a bus: the airport is in San Jose del Cabo, ask a taxi to take you to "El Aguila", there are buses that go to La Paz every hour; it will cost you 177 pesos or 18 dollars ... be carefull on choosing your options ... there are cheaper ways to make your trip ... I live in cabo and go to la Paz anytime I can I haven't taken a bus from san jose del cabo to la paz in years, but I would assume its better now than it was! My experience was a bus crammed full, the seats weren't bolted down, and there were chickens flapping around because there was no glass in the windows. We broke down 3 times. I have seen the aguilla buses going back and forth and they look way better! TV's and everything. Pedro already answered with the price and the times. I would only rent a car if I wanted to explore more...not just get there. |
