How long does it takes to drive from the border (S.D,CA) to Cabo? |
Travel Info From Sac ca. to border is about 8 hrs for me, but about how long is that stretch to cabo san lucas? how are the roads past ensenada (farthest i been). Is it a cool drive? any cool camping spots? Travel Tips I've done it in 3 days, but don't forget, there are tons of things to see all the way down!! The roads are decent. It's best to drive during the day, as many locals still do not have headlights....and the cows aren't very vehicle friendly. There is a service the gov't pays for, its a free roadside service....they call themselves the green angels...guys in a green and white tow truck. They come along often and help for free (tips are good). I've had just about everything break down from tires to ujoints! I don't recommend camping by yourself on a deserted beach...I have been robbed twice this way in my 30+ years driving down there. It's still a really cool drive and even better camping!
