Any suggestions for a family friendly and reasonably priced resort in Mexico? Possibly Cabo?

Planning a family trip to Mexico in Jan with a large group (around 15 ul) Our priorities are family friendly atmosphere, nice beach, and watersports. It also needs to be reasonably priced. Also advice on the best town is appreciated. possibly Cabo. Thanks!

Cabo is awesome... Taking my teenage step-kids next year. But as far as family-friendly with activities, I'd say Cozumel. we stayed at El Cid la Ceiba (before Wilma) and had the best time. We snorkled right off the hotel, went to Chankanaab (nature park), shopped and ate in San Miguel, took the ferry over to Playa del Carmen, took a tour bus to Chichen Itza and saw the solstice, asnd generally had an absolute blast... we didn't even get a chance to scuba, atv tour, go to Xel-ha or do a million other things but we had so much fun. Source(s): My total expenses including airfare from Detroit Metro and two rooms for a family of 5 was less than than my wife and I going to cabo for a week alone... maybe $5,000.00

Over the years I have spent much time in Porto Escondido on the west coast it is small has every thing you would want nice eating places any price hotel you want tourist from all over the world beach with monster waves for surfing good fishing the price is good compared to some other resorts Cancun Cabo you can walk and enjoy the shops season Dec. - April after Jan. 27-07 US citizens must have passports. Have fun
you should not have a difficult time finding a hotel. If you want to inquire go to orbitz or here to ask about the hotel.
Cabo is a blast and the kids can spend lots of time on the beach because there is alot to do there. Like parasailing, the banana boat and Lovers cove.
