Has anyone been to the Intercontinental Presidente in San Jose Del Cabbo within the last 2 months? |
Travel Info Specifically, is it a great adult place? I do not wish to be bothered with too many rug rats. Other pluses/minuses are welcome. Thanks Travel Tips Yes! I walk past there quite often. I would say that any resort in the san jose del cabo area is quieter and has less maggots/rug rats than the other resorts. You should have a very enjoyable vacation. As far as the resort goes, the presidente is an old timer, but its been around all these years because it has maintained a good standard. The other resorts in the area are more modern and new, but everyone has the same experience off the resort. The town of san jose del cabo is clean and safe, and lovely. The walk only takes 8 minutes from your resort, and there are plenty of things to do. If you want a list of things to do and see, post another question and I will give you more specific ideas. Have a great holiday! Others I stayed there in September of 2005 and there were hardly any kids there at all. The best thing is, they have SEVERAL pools as it is such a huge resort, that if there do happen to be kids in your area, you can just go to another pool (they do have an adults only pool, but we never saw the need to layout there since there were not many kids to begin with). The food there is awesome-- try the chicken tortilla soup at their mexican resteraunt-- best I have ever had!!! The outdoor resteraunt is good too. We ate mostly at the American cuisine place... we had a favorite waiter there (can't remember his name). One minus is you cannot swim in the ocean there, and if you try to get close the locals will run after you because of the strong currents. There are no resorts to the Right of the hotel, so it makes for a nice stroll on down the beach just with the natural surroundings. Take the bike tour that's included in the rate-- my husband and I loved it. Rent a car from dollar- but book it online... you save a ton and the dollar place is right inside the hotel. We drove into Cabo for the day, and then up north past that to the capitol of the Baja and it was tons of fun. We took 2 excursions-- kayaking at El Arco, and 4 wheeling. If you are adventurous, you should definately do the four wheeling (it is right across the street from the hotel). It was awesome and you get a good amount of time on your own to explore through the designated stops. It's beautiful! Have a blast-- you will LOVE it! |
