Planning a vacation to Cabo San Lucas with family? |
Travel Info Any good hotel recommendations and things to do with children/family? Travel Tips Hola! Yes there are several kid friendly hotels in Cabo San Lucas, but also in San Jose del Cabo AND the area between (called the Corridor). Many of them have Kid Clubs, others boast a separate kiddy pool from the adult pool area. I don't know how old your kids are but OUTSIDE all the hotel resorts there are activities such as ATVing the sand dunes, snorkeling, mountain biking, zip line over a 300 foot arroyo, whale watching, turtle sanctuary, swimming with the dolphins, etc etc. The following is a list of some of the resorts that are kid friendly. These particular ones I have had excellent feedback on. Dreams Los Cabos - Explorers Club (ages 3-12), with revolving daily supervised programs for kids based on science, nature and exploration themes. Social events include sandcastle contests, movies on the beach on a big screen TV, and weekly tent campouts. Pagers are provided for parents to maintain easy contact. (the corridor) Crowne Plaza Los Cabos - La Tortuga Kids Club (ages 4-10), supervised swimming, entertainment, arts & crafts and video games Biosfera Jrs Club (ages 11+), with foosball, ping pong and video games (San Jose Del Cabo) Royal Solaris - VIKS (Very Important Kids) Club (ages 4-11), supervised swimming pool, indoor and outdoor play areas, art, stories and video games. Juniors Club (ages 12-18), tennis, basketball, mini golf and video games. Water park for young children Water slides for older kids. general child care for all ages (San Jose Del Cabo) Villa del Palmar Beach Resort - Shamu-style water slide and kiddie pool Kids In Paradise program (ages 4-12) with art, mini golf and disco nights (cabo san lucas) RIU Palace - Playground and 2 kiddie pools (Cabo San Lucas) Enjoy your holiday in Cabo! Others We stayed at the Presidente Intercontinental... it was a great resort that was HUGE! It had great food too, which is always a plus. It's in San Jose Del Cabo, and a nature preserve is right next door, so it's pretty quiet-- there's not a whole lot to do in SJDC, but it's only about a 20 minute ride to the heart of Cabo, and it's a great area for kids so you are not around a bunch of drunks. The resort is All-Inclusive, so once you have paid your fee, you don't have to shell out another dime. I would recommend this resort to anyone that goes to Cabo. I loved Hotel Solmar, but you can't swim on the Pacific side. And there are no activities just for children there, although there were happy families there. It's older and less expensive. It's also just a short walk away from the waterfront where there is LOADS to do. Pricey, but so excellent is the chance to swim with the dolphins. Glass bottomed boat ride is wonderful. I recommend JTs. Not expensive at all. In Hotel Solmar, there is an a booth where a very helpful man will arrange almost anything for you. He knows what is going on everywhere. Although he works on commission, he helped my friend and I with events others had arranged for us and he got nothing except the tip we were pleased to give him. Take lots of sun screen and enjoy the sun. http://www.retirementinvestigator.com/ca... http://youtube.com/watch?v=fykylqgs8gq... |
