Calgary's weather? |
Travel Info My wife and I are travelling to Calgary in September for two weeks as holiday, and want to know what the weather and temperature are like in Calgary and Banff at this time of the year. Travel Tips I'm gonna say pack for fall, but bring a few spring things as well as a warm jacket. Calgary is notorious for not following "predicted" weather patterns. Every time I've been up to Banff, it's always been cooler there than it is here, due to the elevation. I have never been to the Lake Louise area, so I can't comment on that. Case in point.. it's June 17th today and the high is expected to be 10C (or 50F) .. it's JUNE! lol .. But, later this week, we're expected to have a high of 28C (82F). One thing to keep in mind is that it always cools off here at night. It might get muggy and sweltering during the day time, but at night, it almost always gets to a "chilly" temperature. Then again, what's considered muggy and sweltering here, might not be depending on where you're from. Some of my relatives came up here two years ago and they live in a just about 90% humidity and stinking hot climate, so they thought it was great! :) Hope that helps and hope you enjoy your trip. That's some beautiful area you're going to see! Others It can vary but about 5 -20 celsius in calgary, Banff a little cooler then calgary ( a little higher elevation ) and Lake Louise a little cooler still ( even higher elevation ). spring jackets, a comfy sweater but also t-shirts Calgary has very unpredictable weather lol one day it could be 30 degrees out and the next day it could be snowing very very unpredictable. but i would pack for the fall and bring some summer clothes and maybe a light jacket just incase! |
