What transportation is available from downtown Calgary to Banff? |
Travel Info I plan to visit Banff after a conference in Calgary and do not want to rent a car. Travel Tips There is the famous Greyhound Canada buses. There is 5 depatures from the Calgary bus station located at 877 Greyhound Way Southwest. They leave at 7:15,1:15pm,6:15(2), and 11:15pm. It takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes, The fare is $23.25 Candanian, and the depature station is located at 100 Gopher St Have a great day Others You can take a bus or taxi also tour vans/bus - renting a car isn't so bad - and it's easy to get to Banff - I did that the first time I went to Calgary - Banff is nice - pricey at some places - thats why I say get a car you can travel at your leisure and you can enjoy yourself. If you go to Banff go to the hotsprings and if money isn't a problem stay at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel - it's built like a castle - truly elegant and wonderful food! It has lots of shops in side of it and fabulous resturantes(from low key to high brow)- I stayed a week there and it was an experience I'll never forget! It's a lovely walk into town - from the hotel. www.fairmont.com Modified 1 year ago |
