Where are good places to camp in the Kananaskis area in Alberta, Canada? |
Travel Info Where are good places to camp in the Kananaskis area in Alberta, Canada? Travel Tips there are several great places to camp in and outside of the park but I would suggest loooking about 20 km east on the bow valley parkway near a town called seabee, very beatiful right on the bow river and cheaper than the park, lots less tourist too Others The whole area is beautiful but I normally go and stay in Banff. http://www.cd.gov.ab.ca/enjoying_alberta... http://www.kananaskiscamping.com/... http://www.braggcreek.ca/kananaskis/kana... http://www.pc.gc.ca/pn-np/ab/banff/index... I would recommend the Kananaskis RV park which is a stone throw away from the golf course, has a hot tub and is family friendly. If not there is Sundance Lodges where you can even rent a TPee for camping outdoors if you wish. Also make sure you head south down Highway 40 during the summer months for a drive as it is closed during the winter. Personal Experience |
