Where is a GREAT spot in Alberta, Canada to go camping? |
Travel Info something with a breath taking view Travel Tips feelyaa is 100% correct! I personally like Jasper better because there are less crowds (I don't go camping for the shopping) and you are likely to see more different animals in the Jasper area. If you are in that area you should really go to the Columbia Icefield, the icefiled highway is gorgeous! Jasper and Banff http://www.pc.gc.ca/docs/v-g/pm-mp/guide... National Parks of Alberta Banff National Park of Canada. UNESCO World Heritage Site and Canada's first National Park of Canada (1885). Elk Island National Park of Canada. Alberta plains oasis for rare and endangered species. Jasper National Park of Canada. UNESCO World Heritage Site and glacial jewel of the Rockies. Waterton Lakes National Park of Canada. International Peace Park; where the Rocky Mountains meet the prairie. Wood Buffalo National Park of Canada. UNESCO World Heritage Site larger than Switzerland. Other Travel Tips lake louise or the crows nest pass ,i thought it was great!!! Best place is either Banff(if you like shopping and crowds - but beautiful scenery) , Jasper(not much for shopping but no crowds and Beautiful scenery) , if you are younger and want hot guys and gals at the beach go to Sylvan Lake in central Alberta. If you want laid back elegance and close to U.S. Lake Waterton National Park in SW Alberta is probably most breathtaking with less crowds--but probably a little more than others except maybe Banff - price wise.
