Travel Info Has anyone been to calgary? and how is it? Travel Tips Calgary is a really neat place. It's easy to get around because it's flat and spread out. Calagary is just east of the Rocky Mountain foothills. It is home to the World famous Calgary Rodeo, and the people there take their rodeo seriously! But there's lots to do when the rodeo has packed it up and gone away. They have great theatre there, night clubs, and all that sort of thing, plus lots of outdoor activities, including boating and sailing on the reservoir. In the winter, there's great skiing, cross country skiing and snowmobiling. As well as awesome apres ski. Calgary also hosts one of Canada's largest Oktoberfests - so there's a good reason to go at any time of year. If you want to find out more about Calgary, google it up and find out lots of interesting details. Others It's okay. Hopefully you'll have a good guide because it is fairly spread out. Edmonton is better.... Haven't been, but I have an online friend who lives there. It seems lovely, and is situated right next to the Canadian Rockies. He likes it there. Calgary is a great city. There is so much to see and do there. I would recomend coming over between the 7th and 16th of July, as that is the world famous stampede. Rodeo, games, live music, rides, it has it all! Lived there for 5 years. I was there about 3 years ago ... we were there for a softball tourny.... it is a great city we really did enjoy it .... :) years ago I heard people say that the best view of Calgary was in your rear view mirror. |
