Apply for a replacement in either case. It's dangerous if someone finds your lost passport and steals your identity! Others you don't "need" one...you can cross the border with your drivers license.... Yes you need passport for going to Canada. You can easily get another passport http://www.travel.state.gov/ Getting out isnt the problem. Getting back in is where you need it. going into canada is little problem. getting back to the usa could be... i went recently and had my drivers license and birth certificate. sometime in the future the usa will require a passport. It's been about 18 months now, but when I tried to go through with a bunch of my friends, they told us they would accept a birth certificate, or voter registration card, combined with a driver's license instead of a passport. |
