I will be moving from The U.K. to Calgary in May '07 and need to find accomodation. Does anybody know of any accomodation or letting agencies. I am willing to apartment / houseshare?

Welcome !! Glad to have you!! Yes, it's very busy and booming here, and the rental and housing markets are really going crazy. You can access the classified sections of "The Calgary Sun" and "The Calgary Herald" newspapers online for some up to date listings. As for sharing - I would contact the University of Calgary, or Mount Royal College - they often have students that are looking to save some money and share.

I have never lived in Calgary, but I have visited the city and like the place even though there was a blizzard while I was there.....in May.

I think it's a lot more easier to find accomodation since the province is booming with job opportunities. They even give accomodation for recruitement jobs.
Affordable accommodation is not easy to find if you are renting. If you can afford to buy a house you might have better luck with that. Calgary is a nice place to live but it is getting expensive. I would suggest looking at the websites for our local newspapers to check out accommodation:

Calgary Sun http://www.calgarysun.com

The area around the University of Calgary is nice and easy to get around. Easy access to public transportation and shopping. The time of year that you are moving here there are more vacancies in that area.
