Travel Info hi could anyone tell me the travelling time between Calgary and Bassano, Also i need some cheap hotels recommending in the calgary and edmonton area, If anyone can help that would be great thanks Travel Tips Calgary to Bassano is straight east along the Trans Canada Highway and shouldn't take more than an hour and a half, depending on how fast you drive. It's about 90 miles. As for cheap hotels, we are a day trip from both places and have never stayed in any. If you can somehow get a hold of a Student Union Value Pack for Alberta, you can pick up some pretty awesome coupons for half price rooms at some nice hotels in both cities. Others Calgary to Bassano is approx 1 hr to 1 hr & 15 minutes from east 16th Ave (highway #1), depending on how fast you drive? It's true, you can find cheap hotels, but they are mostly fleabags, totally scuzzy, and nasty. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to any of them. For about the same price as a cheap hotel, try the youth hostels. They are reasonable and clean, not to mention not too expensive.
