Why prices went up high in calgary canada? |
Travel Info Why prices went up high in calgary canada? Travel Tips I am assuming you're talking about housing. Basically like any pricing of objects it boils down to supply and demand. The economy if crazy strong in Calgary, and people from all over Canada and elsewhere are moving here. When you have so many people looking for places to live, and there is a limited supply then the price goes up. Really as simple as that. If there were many houses for sale and few buyers, then the price would drop. Right now it is beginning to plateau, but that is as much the time of year as anything else. Do not expect housing prices to drop any time soon. And really, it is still much cheaper than Toronto or Vancouver (and alberta has NO provincial sales tax, making most things less expensive here than other cities in Canada). It is all relative really. If people keep moving to Calgary looking for greener pastures, then the housing prices will continue as they are. Others because the u.s. has just invaded u Because you have free education and free health care - the taxes are high. Including the sales tax. Plus most products in Canada are imported, which is also increases the prices. I can compare with Vancouver, here a lot of Chinese or Korean people come with their money and they are ready to buy expensive houses .The result is ----prices are going up, cause if market is depend of the people, their income and money they have and make.Calgary now is getting better and a lot of people are going there, they make good money...........and the result is the prices. |
