Entertainment for toddler in Calgary? |
Travel Info We are thinking of moving to Calgary next year with our 2 year old. What does Calgary have to offer us as a young family? Travel Tips Liesure Centres - pools, gyms, activites for your child and yourself. Zoo - the Calgary zoo is one of the best zoos in the world. i have been to a lot of zoos around the world and Calgary's zoo is amazing. Devonian Gardens - lovely indoor playground for those cold days. Canda Olympic Park - skiing and snowboarding inside the city. Great for beginners. Your child will need to be a little older (4 yrs) to take some lessons. Fish Creek Park - I believe it is still the largest urban greens space in North America. Trails for biking, walking, horseback riding and Lake Sikome. Lots of beautiful parks in Calgary. Princess Island, Sam Livingston, Glenmore. The bike path system in Calgary is amazing. You truly can go from one end of the city to the other. Very scenic. Very good school system - public, seperate (Catholic) and private schools. Very close to the Rocky Mountains. If you like hiking and camping you are in the right place. Booming economy. Great hospitals - the Childrens Hospital is world famous. Hope this all helps Others The Telus Science Centre also has lots of activities for Toddlers. it is a must see! |
