which is the safest pass between Calgary or Edmonton to Vancouver through the rockies? also which is the fastest?

Crow's Nest is the safest but there are two ways to go from those Alberta cities. Calgary is close to the US border, and you can simply follow the Trans Canada. Edmonton is farther to the North and the best route is to cut over to Prince George then drop down to the Okanagan and down to Vancouver that way.
The trip from Calgary is always going to be faster because it is closer to Vancouver than Edmonton is.

I suggest through sparta you basicaly take highway 1 all the way through after that you can take highway 2 north to calgary and follow through to edmonton alot less mountains this way and you dont have to deal with the toll through jasper
