Which has a high cost of living? Alberta, Canada or Toronto, Canada? |
Travel Info Which city is more peaceful? Alberta, Calgary or Toronto, Ontario? Both cities are in Canada. Travel Tips Calgary is considerably cheaper than Toronto. It is also about one fifth the size. Calgary has 1 million people and Toronto has 5 million people. As far as peaceful? Toronto traffic is crazy on the 405. Calgary is pretty tame in comparison. There are millions more people living in the surrounding area of Toronto, so that really creates more stress. Calgary is pretty much on it's own. Edmonton is 3 hours away by car. Vancouver is 12 hours away, and that is pretty much it. Calgary is also just an hour's drive from the Great Canadian Rockies - my favourite place on earth for PEACEFUL relaxation. Banff National Park is awesome! Source(s): check out these links for Banff... http://epod.usra.edu/archive/epodviewer.... http://www.pc.gc.ca/pn-np/ab/banff/index... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/banff_natio... http://www.banfflakelouise.com/... http://www.banffalberta.ca/ Other Travel Tips Nu, cred ca faci confuzie Alberta isn't a City, It's a province. Toronto is a city. Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta has a modest standard standard of living compared to Toronto. Alberta does not have a provincial sales tax, whereas Ontario does. Calgary housing is higher than Edmonton, but still not as high as Toronto, Ontario. Toronto has a higher cost of living. Calgary is way more peaceful. And as mentioned above, Calgary is near the best place in the world, Banff. Alberta is not a city but a province. Calgary by far is more peaceful - guess it depends on your definition of "peaceful" than Toronto. I would attribute it to the fact that the population of Calgary is a third of Toronto's.
