I have a job offer in Shaw Telecoms in Calgary, Canada. I live in Mississauga. Will I transfer? |
Travel Info I have a wife and three kids. I want a safer environment for my family. Would we have a better future in Calgary than in Mississauga? Which is a better place to live ? Travel Tips yeah, Calgary. it's not super awesome fantastic. but it's better than the Missi as far as I know. you can be more active, closer to the mts. it's something new and exciting for the family too. and relocating often means you'll get paid more. when i was young our family moved 3 times before i left home to go to university in Canada. we all grew up as fun and exciting kids and my folks were always making the good moves for the family. Overall Calgary's just a bigger city in itself with more to do and more to offer. yeah, Missi has Toronto close by, but....that's Toronto. AND Westjet flies direct from Calg to Victoria. now that's a treat. Others where is mississuaga? Mississippi? Welll Canada sounds pretty sweet to me. calgary is way more cold than the GTA so if you are prepared for it take a shot if the job is better and pays more you can build a better future for your kids and your family the crime rate is low too good luck man well, if the job offer is better and pays more than your current one ...and if you don't mind the freezing cold , by all means pack up and move there. Calgary, bar none. Get yourselves on down here. I moved to Calgary about 18 months ago from Montreal. First impressions are good. Traffic is bad because of so much road construction, but the transit (bus & train) is really good. Crime doesn't seem too bad, there are gangs here but they just seem to go after eachother. I haven't heard of any muggings or random attacks or anything. I feel safe enough when I get off work downtown @ midnight, there isn't too much panhandling and there always seems to be cops (bicycle or otherwise) around. We've even seen bicycle cops out here in the suburbs! Our car got broken into 4-5 times when we were living in the inner-city, but we moved to the burbs and haven't had any problems since. Well, that's just what I've noticed the last year and a half. We plan on having kids here and we're prtty confident about it. Hope that helps! Personal observations and experiences. |
