Travel Info
Can you buy alcoholic beer at convenience stores in alberta?

Travel Tips
The short answer is no. However in Alberta liquor stores are privatized, which results in a liquor store every two blocks in some towns/cities. So although you can't pick up a case and a loaf of bread at the same time, you may pass several liquor stores on the way to the convenience store.

Others
Nope. Only liquor stores. fortunatly theres one every two blocks.
Nope, you have to go to a local liquor store (usually there are several just keep your eyes peeled), you can however buy non-alcoholic beverages at some stores.
An Albertan for over thirty years.
In all of Canada only Quebec allows beer sales at convenience stores (and supermarkets and any other food stores) - notably the beer prices in Quebec are the lowest of Canada.

However, some provinces and territories have "agency" alcohol stores in areas of low population in which a private grocery is designated as an "agency" for the provincial alcohol monopoly
to have part of its store or a connected room sell alcohol.
