Are there any areas of Calgary that aren't too crowded? |
Travel Info Looking to move to a safe, non-crowded area (or city just outside) of Calgary. I've been hearing that Calgary is becoming very over-crowded lately and I'm looking for an area that isn't so bad. Travel Tips Yah well i am going to have to think about this one. Calgarys population has just hit the one million mark so lots of places may be crowded. iF you dont mind the country you could live out there. its safe and not crowded. ( ex.Priddis) Lake Chaparral(south) is growing rapidly but they are constintly building new homes. Midnapore (south)what i think of isnt that crowded but its not really noticable to be a community. Somerset is a nice community as well. In south calgary there is less crime, You can go onto the internet and look up some of my examples of communities. I hope it helped. Here is some other communites: Sundance Evergreen Cranston Shawnessy ( all in south calgary) Or.... You could think of living in Okotoks. its a safe, quiet small town just 15 minutes south of calgary. its wonderful and there is everything there to meet your needs. Source(s): Live in calgary Other Travel Tips Haha, Calgary is very spread out, it is only downtown and the streets that are overcrowded, too much traffic volume for what they were designed for. Calgary is a big city, and the areas surrounding are getting really big. For the most part, the city is relatively safe and nice. The North West is probably the nicest. Cochrane and Airdrie are pretty good...they are outside the city. But they are still expensive and if you are going downtown there is a hellish commute from outlying areas. Try Okotoks, it is just outside of Calgary and is a nice, safe, smaller town. |
