What is the chance of getting a job as an Electronic or Computer Technician in Calgary? |

Check out working.com or the Calgary Sun website, there are a LOT of jobs. Watch out for renting, though. We also went from $700/mo to $1200/mo for a 2-bedroom in two months. Good luck! Others The only thing I can suggest is checking out websites like calgaryjobshop.ca, or workopolis.ca, and the websites for the newspapers here. It is my experience that the Calgary Herald has more job listings than the Sun. I searched the first website based on the words you provided, and came up with only two jobs listed. Aside from the job, I highly suggest you reasearch the real estate here, as the housing boom last summer caused property owners to lose their minds a little. My ex worked with a girl who was paying $800/m for her apt., and her landlord raised it to $1200/m, just like that for a 2 bdrm apt. I'm not sure where you are at, but you could also try looking at reputable places in your area that might have offices also located in Calgary. Another thing might be checking out the placement agencies in the city, send them your resume and some of them work pretty well with you when it comes to placing you in your ideal job. Your chances are not very good. My Canadian friend Larry moved here (LA) from Calgary Alberta for a job in computers. He said all the computer jobs were here in LA and that Alberta didn't have many jobs for his field of work. He told me how badly he hated the health care out here. It's not as good as in Canada. He's allergic to smog. It's destroying his lungs and giving him seroius allergy symptoms like as if it's pollen but it's not. It's the smog. LOL All according to his doctor. Personal Experience. |
