UK to Canada 3 Months Stay? |
Travel Info I am a British citizenshipo and i hold a British passport. If i wanted to stay in Canada for 3 months do i require a Visa? i have travelled to Canada before but only for short stays up to 10 days but i did not require a Visa as they stamp the passport at the airport. Please let me know thanks Travel Tips No visa required. It's a big country, 3 months travel might be unusual for most people to have time to do, but it is a big country and lots to see. You only need a visa if you plan to work or become a student. 6 months and you start to look like a local, but even then it isn't automatic that you need a visa. There are some extra stuff they look at around 6 months. Source(s): http://www.dfait-maeci.gc.ca/canada-euro... Other Travel Tips In fact they just change the rules for non-Canadain workers to 18 months, if you should find during the stay you work like to make it a permenant situation the Canadian Government just made an extention to the foreign worker laws. Only people from non-Commonwealth country's are required to get a visa for stays longer than 6 months. I worked with alot of people from the UK in the hotel business and they had no problems with either situation. |
