Travel Tips In Calgary, and all of Alberta and the western provinces, for that matter, the Western Canada Lottery Corporation runs the lottery system. It is connected to, but not a part of, the national lotto system. By that, I mean that if you purchase a ticket in Calgary for Lotto 6/49, which is a national lottery (one set of numbers chosen for the whole country), and your ticket is a winner, you must redeem it in the WCLC area, or whichever area you purchased that ticket in (like the maritime/atlantic provinces, or Quebec, etc.). You can't cash it in a part of the country not goverend by that particular lotto corporation.
