If you are qualified to work in both then why not go for jobs in both. Canberra is continuously developing and creating new futures all the time. It is not just full of politicians and pubes (public servants) there are plenty of people here who work for a living.

Why do u just limit yourslef to Canberra? Sydney is a huge city with tons of jobs if you have the experience.
with the skills you have - you will get a job in either profession

canberra does not have lack of jobs - its the public servant capital - I know I worked there many many years ago
