What is it like living in Canberra in Australia? |
Travel Info We are emigrating to Canberra in 3 weeks times and have visited for a holiday, but would like to hear more details of life in Canberra, also to hear from anyone who has emigrated there Travel Tips it really depends on your perspective and likes. If you are coming from a big city or like a lot of buzz, you might struggle initially as it's a city of politicians and uni students. However, if you like the outdoors, can find you own fun and like a smaller city, you'll fit in well. Be careful, it's really cold in winter and bloody hot in summer. It's close to the snow, which is good... At the very least it's only a couple of hours to sydney and very close to the south coast of NSW. Have fun! Others nice and hot you will do fine, no need to tell you more, have fun they all stand on their heads!! :) na, really (wiping a tear of laughter) I just returned from a month touring Auz. They, as a country, have it good! I'd emigrate in a heartbeat if I had the means. I particually enjoyed the east coast though. You'd probably be better of posting this again on the yahoo.au website my travels Have a lobotomy and you'll fit in well. I lived in Oz for a bit and found Canberra unbelievably dull. But I went as a visitor so you may find it very different as a resident. I'm mildly jealous - all the best to you, make the most of it x why canberra? there are lots of great places here in oz, canberra is so coldddd, and its full of pollies!! |
