There are some clubs in Civic (city centre), theres one really big one that opened just over a year ago, think it begins with A and is underground.

But theres really not a lot to do in Canberra. The science place is kinda cool, Questacon. Theres a zoo and aquarium. You can pay extra at the zoo to feed the animals (i fed a tiger a steak and a bear some honey, that was pretty cool)

Visit the War Memorial & Museum, the Science Centre (great fun!)
it depends on when you are going, if you are going in summer there is always the glittering blue pools and fancy restaurants. but if you are going in the winter or even the other seasons, there is always the indoor playgrounds(if you have kids) and there is parks and pokies and great hotels in the center of the city.
There is very little night life in Canberra.
