When I book a trip package, what room type SJR (Junior Suite) means? What pros/cons? |
Travel Info I see also other options like ROOM, DELUXE, GARD, SUP, but i like deluxe word better then SJR ;-). So what's the main difference? Travel Tips I'm sorry to tell you this, but these terms can mean different things from one hotel to another. You really have to contact the hotel and ask them to describe how one room type is different than the others (for their hotel). Again, it can vary from one place to the next. Normally, a "junior suite" (SJR) is better than deluxe, but not as nice as a suite. With a junior suite you often have a bedroom distinctly apart from the living area... but not always behind a closed door (like at your own home). A suite, on the other hand, would normally mean that the bedroom is behind a closed door, just like in your home or in an apartment. So, "junior" suite isn't quite a full blown suite. Deluxe is usually a slightly nicer guestroom, but not to the level of a junior suite or suite. It could be a bit larger or have a nicer view than a standard guestroom. Maybe a jacuzzi or something like that. Superior and Deluxe are often hard to distinguish between in my opinion. Call the hotel on this one. It can vary from one hotel to the next. Gard probably refers to garden. But, I could be wrong. Room is just that... a simple guestroom. This would be your most basic room. Sometimes it is refered to as a Standard.
