Travel to Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, etc. all require a passport. You can apply for a United States passport, if you don't already have one, at your local post office. Pretty much if you're not in the 50 states, it's a good idea to have a passport - even for just an extra form of ID. yes you are leaving the country - getting out is no big deal trying to come back in is ask your travel agent, things are changing in that department, better be safe than sorry Absolutely yes. Its mexico. you even need one if the cruise ship you are on docks in mexico. But they are pretty easy to get if you have your social security card and/or birth certificate and drivers license. You pick up the form at the post office... its best to do this 2 months in advance, but if you pay the rush fee, you can get 10 day-2 week turn around. Faster if you live near a passport office in a major city. The one thing you don't need (which can be a pain traveling out of country) is a visa. I've traveled to four different continents |
