Travel Info I'm trying to decide whether to go to St. Thomas or to Cancun. What would you recommend? Travel Tips I'd go to Cancun. There are so many old ruins in the area to see. The sight-seeing and history will be great. Others Cancun is still recovering from the hurricane. I have been to both when the last year. I would definately recommend St. Thomas. Go to Megans Bay it is awesome. Even better, catch the fairy to St. johns and get to Trunk Bay. One of the best beaches in the Carribean. Also, St. Croix is great. You also don't have a thousand Mexicans hasseling you to buy their crap. St. Thomas. By far. It's much cleaner and safer than Cancun. Cancun is often 'spring break' feeling - no matter when you go and the city isn't exactly safe. PS - It's Magen's Bay, and it's one of the "1000 places to see before you die" and was voted one of the top beaches in the world by National Geographic. Get there early and stay within the lifeguard bounds. Outside the bounds is less crowded, but there are no rules, so you might get hit with frisbees by snotty kids who then smart off, like we did. cancun best city in the whole world nightclubs, great shopping, pretty beachea,activities,dolphins,ru... st Thomas,definitely.. unless your one of these Americans that need to feel at home, because Cancun is just one big American resort, whereas st Thomas is a taste of the Caribbean Go to http://www.love.allabouthoneymoons.com... they can plan any type of trip not just honeymoons. If you tell them what you like and your budget they will plan the perfect trip for you.Best of all the service is free b/c the fee is paid by the hotel or resort. http://www.love.allabouthoneymoons.com... |
