Travel Info Has Mexico, Cancun beach been badly effected by the hurricane? Travel Tips The beach in Cancun is back and beautiful. The beach has been totally rebuilt....sand is not as white as it once was, but the beaches are wider than before. Beaches in Riveria Maya and Playa del Carmen were almost untouched. Cancun had a multi-million dollar project to rebuild the beaches. I have been there several times this year and most everything is up and running...business as usual. Some hotels have been slow to get repaired and some are still working away to get back to normal. All in all.....things are just as wonderful as before!!!!! Others Cancun was badly damaged, but it is almost rebuilt, and the resorts are offering very big discounts until repairs are complete. yes It was almost 2 years ago http://sparks-mexico.com/ they are refreshed you can walk up and down the beach I was there in July and it was great |
