We are going to Cancun for spring break, and we've heard that alot of the bars are open after you pay cover? Is this the case for most of the big bars (Dady O's/Senor Frog's)? How much is cover?

Yes, they are open bar after you pay the cover. It's around $35 to $40. My advice to you is that if you're planning on drinking to actually get tipsy that you drink before you go. I've been to 3 all-u-can-drink clubs down there and I got there drunk and left sober. Unless you get bottled or canned beer, the drinks are watered down in most of those places to save money and another problem you face is that there are so many people there that it is hard to get another drink because you have to go back and stand in line again. You might want to try the bar-hopping tour (about $50) because they actually feed you down with shots on your bus rides to each of the bars and when you get to the bars there is a person assigned to a group of about 10 of you (who rides the bus to each location) who is responsible for going to the bartender to ask for your drinks so you don't have to be the one to stand in line. It's a lot faster and you don't end up completely sober at the end of the night! |
