Travel Info Can I rent a car in Cancun, Mexico and return it in Chetumal, Mexico? Travel Tips It depends on whether or not the car rental company has a location at Chetumal. You will have to check the various companies and see if they have a site. I know you can pick up at one place and deliver to another, but usually with a fee attached. I rented in Playa del Carmen and was going to return to Cancun....$65 charge....I took it back to Playa. You can check out www.carrentals.com and also check with hertz. I have found it to be much cheaper to reserve on the internet before going to Cancun. Chetumal airport has several car rental companies there, but I don't know what all the rules are. Check out the website and maybe you can find your answers. Others Driving in Cancun would be like driving in the Indy 500. Good luck. |
