Drive from cancun to belize in a rental?

Can it be done? What companies would you suggest? Insurance issues? I am planning on flying to cancun and going through belize possibly tikal. please help...thanks

yes you can drive pick a good rental company like almo or avis insurance is def. needed. get good directions before you go
